According to the representative of Poker stars, Nadal played a key role for the brand, however the association of the tennis star with the Poker Stars brand has come to an end. The representative also said that they are now looking to focus on two other big names which they have as ambassadors for their brand. The super star Brazilian football player Neymar Jr. and the World’s best player Cristiano Ronaldo.
Poker Stars is aiming to shift its marketing focus from Tennis to Football. And to make the most of the two of the best footballers in the world, Neymar and Ronaldo. The decision of focusing on the two football players was pretty much clear in August when the it was announced by Poker stars that they would be having the biggest marketing campaign of PokerStars in history with Neymar Jr. and Cristiano Ronaldo. After that Neymar Jr. and Cristiano Ronaldo appeared in video adds for the brand, and these adds were distributed to the fan base of these two players via Facebook.
