Neymar Champions League goal scoring drought continues
Despite performing well and providing two great assists, Neymar Champions League goal scoring drought continues. The striker was instrumental in the victory of Barcelona in recent Champions League game against BATE Borisov. He was the man behind the two goals of Barcelona, both of which were scored by Ivan Rakitic. Neymar Jr. provided the assists on both occasions. But when it comes to goal scoring, once again the striker could not find the back of the net. It is ironic that Neymar Jr. has featured in all 3 of the group games of Barcleona in Champions League this season and the player has not found the back of the net.
Considering the fact that Neyamr Jr. was the joint top goal scorer in last seasons Champions League, scoring 10 goals, with Messi and Ronaldo being the other two player to score 10 goals each, the fact that the player has not been able to put his name on the score sheet is pretty ironic. When it comes to La Liga it is a whole different story, and the Barcelona striker is the top scorer in the league. But considering the form and performance of Neyamr Jr. in the recent matches it seems only a matter of time before the player puts his name in Champions League score sheet.
