Real Madrid was offering the same kind of contract as Barcelona offered to Messi when he was a kid, growing up as man and professional at club with excellent facilities and finance attractions. But Neymar sr turned down the offer because he observed that Neymar was homesick and just wasn’t enjoying Madrid. “The air was getting heavier.” “He missed everything.” It was too early. “I didn’t care we were abdicating from so much money. All I wanted was for him to continue to play with joy. And there was no joy on those days. No money could ever change that,” wrote Neymar Sr.
