Neymar to earn €15 million net per season?
FC Barcelona and Neymar are about to work on a new contract stipulating that the Catalan star will shortly be raking in about €15 million net for each season played for the club. This will make him the third highest-paid player in the world just behind Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spanish club has also decided to bid up his buyout clause, which presently boasts at €180 million. Barça were intending to hike it up to a staggering €1 billion, but the player’s agents don’t want to see it get pass the €250 million figure. The forward looks all set to sign until June 2021.
The club’s directors are well knowledgeable that they must keep the Brazilian in the club. It looks like the young superstar will be christened to be the best player of the world in the not too distant future and quite inevitably the competing clubs will surely be eager to pay silly money to take him in.
Both of the parties are in complete agreement regarding the amount to be paid. Neymar appreciates the enormous offer that the club has made to be capable of offering such a huge salary and has therefore turned down all the proposals that have landed on his table from several other clubs. As things stand, he isn’t even contemplating of setting foot outside Camp Nou.
Not even the oncoming trial concerning the astounding €10 million that the club has paid to his father as a signing fee has been able to make him change his mind. A few days ago, the player’s father started to play it tough, with the club immediately after assuring him of the figure of €15 million per season that his son would very soon be enjoying. Such an enormous amount has convinced both of the father and son that their best interests still lie safely in Barcelona.
