Neymar’s Parents deny the charges that player evaded tax
After the court froze Neymar’s assets, Neymar’s parents denied that Neymar avoided taxes in Brazil. On Saturday the parents of Neymar Jr. Neymar da Silva Santos and Nadine Goncalves da Silva issued a joint statement defending their son. According to the joint statement, the Neymar’s parents said that non of the companies which were being investigated belonged to Neyamr Jr. And that is why one can not be held accountable for something which does not belong to him. They further said that Neymar Jr. did not evade any taxes neither did any of their companies.
Earlier the court ordered to freeze the assets of Neymar Jr. worth £31.3m. The court deemed that the player had evaded the taxes worth £10.5m. The assets that were frozen belonged to Neymar Jr., his family and the three companies which are owned by Neymar Jr. along with his father. Neymar Jr. moved to Barcelona in 2013 from Santos. The players transfer to Barcelona is also under investigation in Spain.
Parents of Neymar Jr. have been very supportive of their son. At all stages of life. And it is not a surprise that they are right there now when their son needs them.
